Official sources control
- Legal text, rules, forms, court information, and procedures change. The responsible legislature, court, clerk, agency, or authenticated official publication controls.
- A citation, summary, definition, source link, or current-through date may be incomplete, superseded, delayed, or affected by another law, rule, order, case, exception, or local practice.
- Open and confirm the official source before acting. Do not rely on an InmateLink page as a certified copy or official court record.
Deadlines and court information
- Do not calculate, extend, waive, or satisfy a filing, hearing, appeal, release, payment, or other deadline from InmateLink.
- Confirm case number, party name, court, courtroom, judge, hearing date, filing status, fees, address, hours, access rules, and required forms directly with the court or counsel.
- InmateLink does not file documents, enter an appearance, serve process, monitor a docket, or guarantee notice unless a feature expressly states and proves that capability.
Directories and professionals
- A lawyer, bail company, expert, investigator, notary, or other provider listing is not a referral, endorsement, licensing opinion, or guarantee.
- Verify current license, discipline, insurance, scope, conflicts, fees, availability, and engagement terms directly before hiring or paying.
- Sponsored placement is advertising, not legal advice or independent selection.
AI and automated answers
An AI legal-answer feature is not currently authorized to provide personalized legal advice. If an AI feature is later released, its output may be incomplete or wrong and must identify supporting sources and preserve the same no-advice, jurisdiction, currentness, and official-source boundaries. Never submit confidential strategy or sensitive person, case, custody, health, or credential information unless the feature explicitly supports and protects it.
