This policy explains how InmateLink builds useful starting-point directories while preserving source, correction, identity, advertising, and verification boundaries.
We may create basic organization, provider, facility, court, agency, and service records from official agencies, regulators, first-party websites, public records, provider submissions, and other lawful public sources.
A record may include only the verified basics needed to help a user identify and contact an organization, such as name, category, city, state, phone, website, map destination, and source date.
Third-party directories and rating platforms may be used for discovery or an attributed outbound reference; they are not treated as proof of every business fact.
2
What a listing means
A listing is informational and does not mean the provider has claimed, paid for, approved, or endorsed it, or that InmateLink endorses the provider.
InmateLink does not guarantee availability, licensing, eligibility, price, quality, outcome, response time, geographic coverage, or continued operation.
Users should verify important details directly with the provider and, where relevant, the official regulator, court, facility, or agency before acting or paying.
3
Claims, corrections, and removal requests
An authorized representative may request to claim or update a listing. We may require identity, authority, domain, license, official-source, or other supporting evidence.
A claim does not automatically publish requested changes. We may compare submissions against sources, preserve correction history, reject unsupported claims, and require additional evidence.
We evaluate correction and removal requests based on accuracy, law, safety, public interest, source status, and our rights. A provider cannot purchase removal of truthful public-source information or unfavorable editorial treatment.
4
Ranking and sponsored placement
Search order may consider relevance, location, category, completeness, source quality, freshness, user-selected filters, technical performance, and other quality signals.
Payment does not buy a favorable rating or the removal of truthful information. Any paid placement must be clearly labeled as sponsored or advertising and kept distinct from organic ranking.
We may suppress duplicates, unsafe records, identity conflicts, prohibited content, unverifiable claims, stale records, or listings that fail publication controls.
5
Logos, maps, links, and third-party content
Names and logos may be displayed for identification and may remain owned by their respective owners. Inclusion does not imply affiliation.
Maps, directions, phone links, websites, reviews, and ratings may be provided by third parties and can change. Their terms and privacy policies apply when opened.
We may disable links, images, or data that are broken, unsafe, disputed, misleading, unlawfully submitted, or outside an approved source boundary.
