Cookie and Local Storage Notice
InmateLink uses a small set of browser technologies to sign users in, protect the Service, preserve requested drafts and choices, and understand basic performance.

What these technologies are
Cookies are small values a website stores through your browser. Local storage generally remains until cleared; session storage generally lasts for the browser tab or session. Similar technologies can support authentication, security, preferences, maps, and measurement.
Essential authentication and security
- Our identity provider may use cookies and related technologies for sign-in, session continuity, verification, recovery, fraud prevention, and CAPTCHA.
- Server and security systems may process IP address, request identifiers, timestamps, and device information to protect accounts and rate-limit abuse.
- Disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in and private features from working.
Feature and preference storage
- InmateLink may store onboarding and provider drafts, a pending save, workspace choice, sidebar state, language, general search location, and similar preferences in the browser.
- Some legacy public features may store saved item identifiers or favorites on the device. Clearing browser data removes these device-only records and may reset drafts or preferences.
- A device-only value is accessible to other people who use the same browser profile. Do not use a shared device for sensitive drafts.
Analytics and logs
- We may use limited first-party or hosting analytics and operational logs to understand page performance, errors, security, and aggregate feature use.
- Analytics events must not contain message text, private plans, passwords, case content, government identifiers, payment credentials, or consumer health content.
- The presence of a software package in our code does not mean an optional analytics or advertising tool is active; this Notice describes activated use only.
Maps and external content
- Embedded maps and external map links may cause the map provider to receive IP address, browser, location-related, and interaction information under its own privacy policy.
- Official-source and provider links take you to third parties that may set their own cookies.
Advertising technologies
Behavioral advertising pixels are not authorized on private, custody, case, crisis, treatment, recovery, or consumer health workflows. If optional advertising cookies are activated later, we will update this Notice and provide consent or opt-out controls where required before activation.
Your controls
- Use browser settings to block or delete cookies and storage. This may sign you out, erase browser drafts, remove device-only saves, or reset preferences.
