Advertising and Sponsored Content Policy

Advertising can fund useful public information, but payment must never be confused with verification, editorial judgment, official status, or a guaranteed outcome.

Review provider terms

$100 Combined Early Adopter Launch Package

The combined Early Adopter offer is a one-time $100 payment for each selected and available state- or city-directory market through December 31, 2026. Each approved market includes one banner placement and one sponsored first search result on the selected page. It does not auto-renew. Advertisers may purchase multiple markets. Any future monthly, annual, or lifetime offer will be separate and opt-in.
Each approved market has one combined advertiser package during the offer period. A market is not secured until checkout, payment, and policy review are complete. If a selected market becomes unavailable or InmateLink cannot approve an order, neither placement will run and its payment will be refunded.
Every advertiser, destination, claim, and creative must pass review before publication. Ads are clearly labeled and do not alter organic directory rankings.
An InmateLink vendor profile and provider workspace access are included through December 31, 2026 for an approved combined Early Adopter order. Access does not guarantee that a profile, claim, ad, or submitted field will be published.

Clear labeling

Paid placement will be labeled Ad, Advertisement, or Sponsored in a way users can see and understand near the content.
A sponsor may not be presented as selected by a court, facility, regulator, government agency, or independent ranking unless that exact claim is true and documented.
Sponsored placement does not alter source records, correction decisions, review moderation, or verification status.

Truthful and supportable claims

Advertisers must substantiate objective claims before publication, including licensing, pricing, availability, response time, success, security, encryption, rankings, experience, reach, and testimonials.
Ads may not guarantee release, case outcomes, placement, leads, income, safety, confidentiality, or government access.
Material conditions, fees, limitations, and advertiser relationships must be clear and close to the claim.

Ratings, reviews, and testimonials

No fake, AI-fabricated, purchased, sentiment-conditioned, insider, or undisclosed incentivized review or testimonial.
Third-party names, logos, ratings, and review data require permission, accurate attribution, and a current source date. Public visibility is not permission to copy them.
A provider may not pay to suppress negative reviews or influence an InmateLink or third-party rating.

Privacy-safe advertising

The founding offer is direct contextual advertising. An ad may be selected from the public state, county, or city and directory category requested by the advertiser, not from a person's private activity or profile.
We do not use private workspace, message, file, case, custody, crisis, treatment, medication, recovery, or consumer health data for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Contextual ads may be selected from the public page or directory context. Sensitive queries must not be disclosed to an advertiser as user-level profiles.
Third-party advertising pixels, audience-building tools, or behavioral ad cookies are not part of the founding offer and may not be added to an advertiser's creative or destination tracking through InmateLink.

Prohibited advertising

Illegal services; deceptive bail or legal claims; exploitation; discrimination; weapons or contraband; evasion of court or facility rules; unlawful records access; impersonation; malware; and predatory or abusive financial practices are prohibited.
Ads aimed at exploiting a person's detention, crisis, disability, addiction, financial distress, or lack of legal knowledge are prohibited.
InmateLink may reject or remove advertising for legal, source, safety, quality, user-experience, or policy reasons.

Reporting and no outcome promise

Where reporting is available, InmateLink may show first-party counted impressions and outbound clicks after invalid, duplicate, automated, or suspicious activity is excluded. Counts are operational estimates, not independently audited audience measurements. Advertising, featured status, or a provider plan does not guarantee publication, placement frequency, rank, impressions, clicks, calls, leads, clients, revenue, or any result. Advertisers remain responsible for their services, legal obligations, contracts, and claims. Use the Support Center for policy or account help.
